The pads on my capos will be made of Santoprene (a mixture of polypropylene and EPDM rubber). Santoprene is very inert chemically and shouldn't cause a problem but I don't have any long term data right now. I'm going to try to set up some kind of long term test soon.

There is a ton of conflicting info on the nitro finish issue but I'm trying to wade through to make sure that Santoprene is definitely safe. I'll let you know how it goes!

Hey, thanks for the response. I've read the lurid tales of tuners' rubber pads defacing head stocks, so it's worth looking into.

I actually sold the $30 and $40 capos at a loss, that's why I limited the quantity to 50 each. Just trying to drive traffic to the campaign in the early days!
