Default My D-35 is a monster guitar...

This D-35 is an incredible tone machine. It makes fabulous recordings so easily. Just packs a solid tone punch right at ya. I've never played a more powerful guitar. The D-18 was nice, but this thing is a monster. I can see now why the big stars play them. After spending some time with it, and listening to the recordings of it...I'm just knocked out by it. The D-35 is an incredible guitar.

Yes,to me,the D-35 is the Best guitar available. I wish I could afford the Johnny Cash model.

Yep, once you hear the recorded sound of it, you know it's worth every penny.

I love mine. Every now and then I think I want to trade her in towards an HD-28V or D-28 Marquis, but, honestly she's everything I really want in an acoustic guitar.

Glad you are happy, Wayne. You see, now, why I have kept my D-35 for so many years -- 45 now.

You're right, it is. I played one for many years and loved the sound. I never found a 28 that I liked as much. Great guitars.

Campbell Morrell Music in Johnson City, Tn had one of these about 5 years ago-I played it every time I went in there and loved that guitar. Wish so many times I had bought that one-it was just swell.

Tried a bunch of 35s over the last 2 years and like them but I want a 1&3/4 nut width like my D18.

I bought a brand new D-35 in early '73 and that guitar was incredible also. I always preferred the D35 to the D28 and could never understand why it would be that way until a few years ago, I found out about the bracing difference. In my opinion, though, each individual guitar will vary in tone somewhat, which is why I now own a HD-28 which was the best sounding guitar at the store in my price range that particular day.

Years ago, I tried out a D-28 because every other guitar player I knew raved about them. Maybe the one I tried had dead strings on it, I don't know, but I was not impressed with it at all. Just for the heck of it, I tried a D-35 at the same sitting.....the D-35 really impressed me right away. I knew that was the model I wanted, next week layoffs at my job were announced and I wasn't able to get it. That was about 13 years ago. I always remembered that guitar and always wanted it, but due to some serious health and financial issues, I couldn't get it. Now things have changed and I'm feeling better, and my finances have improved somewhat, so that I could see my way clear to get it. I'm very glad I did !!

Congrats on a great guitar Wayne! I was looking at one very seriously when a HD-28 grabbed hold of me. I think all of the Martin Dreads are great in one way or another...
