Default I'm Pleased With This Picture

Got a lovely shot of this bird yesterday.
He seemed to pose for me.
He's a Superb Fairy Wren.

I think this shot I took a couple of months ago is actually the female.

Love the detail in that first shot! You always post such great pictures. Must be nice living in Eden!

Thanks, I cropped the original just slightly.
Got about 5 shots - I like this one the most.
The female in the other shot was just lucky and that's the full frame shot.

It's a nice place to live.
No traffic lights.
Clean air.
Incredible bird life. ..... but no guitar stores!

Great pic! You can even make out the claws (is that the proper term for this bird?).

I'm pleased with those pictures, too! Thanks for posting them, but of course, fellow photographers will want to know all the particulars - equipment used, exposure settings, any special techniques or processing, etc. I know there is far more to the art of photography than such things, but still it's good to know, especially for those of us learning.

I wish I could make it sound like I know what I'm doing but it's just my old Olympus SP-565UZ on 'Auto'.
Yep, point, make sure the auto focus is working on the subject and shoot.

Here's the original full frame shot before I cropped it.

Default Hummingbird babies

We had two eggs laid in a tiny nest on the front porch for the last couple of years.
