Default NFL Week 7

NFL Week 7. What a crazy ending to Thursday's Chiefs/Raiders game. I only saw the highlights but talk about second and third chances.

What's the story line this week?
Go Pats!

They got second and third chances because of egregious penalties. Previously a touchdown called on the field was very questionably overturned and there was an OPI call that happened only because the KC defensive back fell down.

Lynch acted like an idiot.

The Raiders had one of the worst game winning drives I've ever witnessed. They had two receivers run the exact same route in the exact same place, three times on that drive including one play that was lucky and almost resulted in the winning TD. I have honestly maybe have only saw receivers running the same route a couple of times in watching 10000+ hours of football over the years. For it to happen three times on one drive, is really awful.

The touchdown overturned wasn't questionable... he was clearly down on the 0.5 yard line. In real time it was even obvious before they went to replay. The OPI was also clear in my mind. It was a clear pushoff at the top of the route.

I'm not remotely a KC fan either. I'm a Pats fan and actually hoped they'd lose so we have a shot at the #1 seed.

3 shutouts today. I can't recall the last time I've seen that.

A very satisfying game last night for the Pats against Atlanta.
It seemed like more than just a win though, and I'm not referring to the opponent, or anything to do with a SB rematch, even though the Falcons wanted this one bad.
The key play of the game imo was the blocked field goal in the 1stQ. That was huge. From that moment on, it seemed like the Pats had regained a kind of mojo and confidence they hadn't had all year.
Even though it was still 0-0 at that point, that play seemed more like a season turner than just a game momentum shift. If they stay reasonable healthy, the Pats will be a tough matchup no matter who they play. This team is starting to have good chemistry, especially the D.

The Patriots represent the very essence of a well-coached team. They study, they apply, they evaluate, and they adjust. They're better on the final week of the season than when they started.
