Nature is wonderful and all but I wish I could un-see that.

Nature, and NGs ability to capture it at its sometimes wildest best.

This reminds me of last summer at my house where we had a bullfrog (we named “Jeremiah”) in our organic swimming pond which spans about 1’ under full extension while swimming. One day, from about 3’ away, I saw it quickly lunge after a smaller frog (maybe 1/3 size) and take it in its mouth, butt-first, with the rear right leg and upper body protruding. I watched as Jeremiah used his arms to push the protruding leg forward while with his left arm, push the rest of the body into his mouth until gone. The whole process took about 10 min. I imagine that at some point, an image like NGs could have been observed.

Let’s see, “I’ve got a frog in my throat.” No that doesn’t work, does it.

So the frog is swallowing a snake - the snake is swallowing Mick Jagger.

Just how big is this frog!

You fought hard against the choices of small fish/big pond or big fish/small pond....

And how does it feel to be a small snake in a big frog...

This might be the craziest thing I've heard of since that man bit that dog.

My neighborhood sits on the shore of a small lake. I was outback with my dog this morning and saw something in the water. I realized it was the shell of a fairly large turtle...sitting on something but I couldn't tell what it was sitting on.

As I walked towards the shore the turtle saw me and ducked into the water under its roost. I finally realized it was sitting on the carcass of a duck. The duck would bob in the water...slightly sink and then float back up while the turtle had its breakfast.

We do have snappers in the lake. Last week one was stuck on the road...he couldn't get over the curb. he was about 18" long. I tried to move his but he sort of snorted at me when I tried to move him. I let him be...I didn't want to lose a finger....

We just returned from Kauai. While sitting near some bushes where geckos were scampering we watched an egret stalk and grab a gecko and with a flick swallow it. We watched the gecko kick as it slid down inside the egrets throat. Sad, but like a car wreck hard to look away.
