Default Ditto X2 annoyances

Have used a TC Electronic Ditto X2 loop pedal for a couple of years.
The AC adapter plug does not fit tightly into the unit, producing a type of feedback hum.

For the first time,I installed the two 9 volt batteries to use as the power source and the humming issue has gone.

Anyone else have this problem?
Would replacing the AC adapter be worthwhile?

I get frustrated with the minor glitches associated with a lot of the stuff MIC...

Just fyi, my DittoX2 has not experienced this issue for the 2+ years I've been using it. But their customer service is excellent so I wouldn't hesitate to contact them about your issue.

I lost a screw on my Flashback delay and they sent me a couple replacements for free right away.

Sounds like a bad jack, might just need to have the inner contact bent back into place, or the wire resoldered.

I was a big Ditto X2 fan and recommended it a few times. The annoyances I get with it has lower the trust level to the point that I only use it at home for practicing. For some reason it will sometimes make the signal hot when recording a loop. When it does that, it also dirties the signal making for a very poor sound. It will do it randomly, I've tried different plugs, outlets, power conditioners, amps, mixers, with and without batteries. I've also reloaded the firmware. I want it to work because I like the portability and ease of use, but I just don't trust it. I'm open to suggestions. And sorry to the OP for the high jacking of this thread.
