Sounds like a pretty good place to do business.

Thanks for the Strings and Things info Mary. They seem like a great bunch of folks. For my first order, I kept it at $60 ($35 required for free shipping to Canada). That inclulded 10% off coupon. I got a Shubb Deluxe capo, some acoustic guitar, mandolin, and banjo strings and a bunch of pics. They inlcluded a hand written thank-you on the back of a business card, a sticker, and some "business card" pics.

I will do business with them again and I will create a thread on the "Acoustic Guitar discussion" sub forum to give them Kudos. I think they are customer focused.

Unity is what I feel is displayed on the AGF.

I too have purchased from them and have been very satisfied with the purchase from the start to finish. The personal touch is nice and carries a lot of weight for me.

Varying businesses are not concerned about the customer or about being family friendly. When I dealt with Strings and Things they let me know they are a smaller group of folks who want to please the customer.

They are like me. We enjoy the connections on a more personal basis.

We always say rule number one is "If you don't take good care of your customer, someone else will." (A good rule for a business person to live by indeed.)

Excellence is the result of that communication between the business/personnel and the customer. I also know the customer can sometimes be hard to deal with and to make happy, but they usually end up elsewhere anyway. I have been in the "sales" business my entire career, but not as an actual business person (?). Law enforcement was my career and I learned early on that a direct approach to communicating with another made all the difference in the world.

I thank all the Sponsors we have here who operate with the concept of being customer friendly and making things personal for that one buyer. The extra time, the handwritten note, or a follow-up phone call or email can make a world of difference to the customer.

You are right! Perfect timing to let me share a soft "Mary moment."

In our case, customers aren't. Brothers, they are. Their wives become our family, too.

A few hours ago I got a call from the wife of an early McKnight Guitar family member. She told me how her husband (now on tour) was feeling miserable and finally caved in to go to the doctor a few days ago. The doctor did tests and told him he needs to plan to cut this tour short so he can get some aggressive chemo and radiation.

I am shook by this news. A customer they aren't. Brothers they are.

Zac Brown Band - anyone like them? I enjoy their music.

Back home relaxing after spending the past few days traveling for work.

What's everyone's plan for the week-end?

Actually Tim and I plan to go to view our brand new church building so we can volunteer to do a few cleaning and painting jobs.

Anyone up for helping us?

Believe I enjoy visiting churches. Great architecture. I visited one last week in Nova Scotia for the first time. It was about 100 years old and had huge ceilings with so many different pictures (on the ceiling). Located in a small French town.

Why the new church Mary? Is it replacing another church?

Church changing is something Tim and I have only done once in our 30 years of marriage.

Definitely believe that we are very fortunate to have the religious freedoms in our countries.

Enjoy your new Church, Mary.

Enjoyed reading the posts above.

I did not enjoy the way my WVU Mountaineers played today. I knew they were lacking on defense, but they seemed to never show up at all. THis is not taking away from a good team that beat them, just disappointed in the total lack of drive.

Hope everyone elses teams won

Football Saturday was good for Notre Dame (I watched the 2nd half and OT)! Now it's on to Football Sunday.

Sorry to hear about WVU Tom.

Good game for Norte Dame Dru. I saw the last score before OT. It looked like an exciting game.
