Steve Jordan's guitar?
Hello all,
I haven't posted in a while, but something's got me really itching to find out some more information... Does anyone know what kind of guitar Steve Jordan played in his later years? I have seen some pictures and video of Steve, and he is most often seen with this guitar, which you can see here: http://stevejordan.info/gallery2embe...p?g2_itemId=15 What's got me really curious is seeing how thin the body is. Is this some kind of custom job from Gibson or Gretsch? Is it by a custom builder? I'd love to know, but really have no idea what it is or could possibly be. Anyone have a guess? |

That looks like a Gibson L5-CT, aka the George Gobel model. It's a thin body L-5.

There is a mint custom available locally... Crimson red as it ought to nbe.
Unfortunately, overpriced. |

I remember photographing him at Blues Alley back in the late 60s or early 70s when I was a newspaper photographer. I have a pretty good mental picture of the print, but I can’t remember the guitar.
