Default whats a good audio interface to use with cubase elements?

i tried this before with a tascam audio interface but it just didnt work i was wondering if i try it again what is the best audio interface to use with cubase elements 7 thanks.

Any and all should work...but non-Steinberg/Yamaha devices have to be selected and configured. Steinberg interfaces (CI series, UR series, et al) will "auto-select/configure" with Steinberg software BUT it's a simple procedure to choose Device Setup and select the current hardware. Once done it will default to that device in future.

FYI, I use a Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 with Cubase 6 (full) and have no issues at all.
