Dreadnought as fingerstyle guitar -- original instrumental

I think the guitar is fairly well balanced, at least for my tastes, but then I like the bass that this guitar has. There is no EQ and no reverb added in the audio recording. The large diaphragm mic up by my head is set in omni mode and is picking up room sound, so there is probably some natural room reverb in the recording from that.

That's a very fine sounding guitar indeed. You can afford to be a minimalist when it comes to effects!

But this recording is pretty representative of what this guitar sounds like in a room with me playing this song.

And you play it really well too!

Thank you Dave! I know you are not a particular fan of the Martin D-35, but hopefully this sounded good to you. I think the earlier versions of the D-35 with BRW tended to be a little better balanced tonally than the later versions made of EIR.

Sounds Great Glenn. Love the composition and your guitar playing is excellent and your D-35 sounds and looks awesome.

I've got a '69 D-35 Brazilian that I absolutely love. Those old hand carved necks add such great character to the instrument.
