Default Takamine Cool Tube endpin jack upgrade

Hi guys, I have upgraded my old Takamine Ef341c wit a CTP2 preamp and I'm really impressed by the sound. Now the problem is that I can't turn it off! When i put the batteries inside the preamp is always on! Even with the cable unconnected. I have even bought the Tak di plus to powering the preamp but does't work.

So:

Do I have to change endpin jack?
Do I have to change even the internal cable?
Do I have to buy only original Takamine? Or I can buy an aftermarket one? The Original, endpin cost about 40 euros.

Thanks guys

Given you are able to use the pickup we can conclude the signal wire is properly connected to the output jack. Maybe Tak changed their wiring schemes between the original and the upgraded preamp. If it is a four conductor cable (signal, signal ground, power ground to be connected when plugged-in, shield) from the preamp to the endpin, maybe you reversed signal ground and power ground, or shorted them together, which might leave the system working OK, but always on. I have the ctp-1. It has 2 switches on the bottom of the preamp. One is for the impedance of the aux pick up and the other is "full time" power for the preamp vs using the input jack. Not sure if the ctp2 is the same. Could be a possibility.
Good luck

I have the Cpt2. There is always power avail, as when use the onboard tuner etc, get lights. But it doesnt use any power other than that unless lead plugged into Jack. Something miswired? I guess finding the exact wiring diagram will be virtually impossible.
Keep us posted.
