Default Using KOA K-20 for slide?

Hello-

I have recently put a device on my koa which sits on top of the nut to raise the action of the strings in order to play slide. I am using open tunings and it sounds great except for buzzing on the g string (4th). I am wondering if anyone knows the best way to set up a taylor just strictly for slide. The way i have mine is only temporary but I do need the action very high. Is putting a new nut like a dobro or national an option?

Anyone out there using a koa or taylor just for slide? I would love to hear how your guitar is setup.

Thanks

Ryan
