Default Help with removing Fishman Sonitone?

Hi folks,

Recently got a Martin Djr. Love the guitar, the Sonitone not so much. My concern in the removal process is that the volume/tone wheel mechanism seems to be glued on. Anybody have any tips for safely removing the beast?

Thanks in advance,
Phil

You might want to post this in the "build and repair" sub-forum.

BTW, and FWIW, I recently picked-up a new DRS1, and I'd frankly have to say that the Fishman Sonitone pickup in it provides some of the nicest UST amplified tone I have ever heard...Almost as good as the DTar Wavelength Load-and-Lock in my J-50.

Maybe hardwood top guitars are easier to amplify well with USTs?

Anyways, good luck!

Thanks Ed. Just not a big fan of USTs.

I'll take your advice and post in build & repair.
