Default What do these chord symbols mean?

I'm going to play this song with the kids at the next Cub Scout meeting:

My question is, what is this E) --3--4--5 stuff? And the E)--0--2-4?

C
You know we got a mystery to solve
A E)--3--4--5
So Scooby Doo be ready for your act, don't hold back
C
And Scooby Doo if you come through
E E)--0--2-4
You're gonna have yourself a Scooby snack

They're "tab" for little bass lines played on the low E string (3rd, 4th, 5th fret for the first - "don't hold back"; open, 2nd, 4th for the second).
