Congrats on the beautiful new McKnight! That osage orange looks like some good 'ol mahogany with that ribbon striping. Very nice! I've heard some great things about that tonewood. Love to hear your thoughts on it compared to a rosewood variant.

Todd, that's really sweet.
Glad you've got a keeper there!

to the two Toms.....I may well be coming to FL in January.....probably driving this time as well. Waiting for Rick to get back from his hunting trip to find out if he's going to be around.

Dennis, thanks for the offer...but, a bird in the hand....well, you know what they say

I've had this since Friday, and have been through three sets of strings already, if that tells you how many hours I've put on it!!! The setup is dialed in and it just SINGS.

And yes, still posting from the library...'puter is supposed to be back tomorrow. We'll see how that goes....mostly everything has been going wrong lately.....this guitar is one incredible bright spot that's helped me keep my sanity. (right...like I had any to start with...)

Congratulations Todd. I was thinking the same thing about the Osage Orange looking very similar ribbon striped mahogany; very nice. The look of sitka (or lutz) is my favorite for tops, so your guitar is nice all around.

Glad the tone is what you want.

still the Jubers.....I put them on after the original set, then the DR's yesterday. The DR's must have a little less string tension because of the hex cores or something....

Congratulations, Todd, on a really beautiful guitar. But beauty is as beauty sounds, and golf season should be about over in your neck of the woods , so let's get moving on those sound clips.

Yeah, get on the sound clips, Buddy!

Todd has promised us some sound clips. We'll expect them come winter month. He is a great classical player who made his McKnight steel string guitar sound magical.

C'mon Michigan snow. That's about when Todd will get off the tread mill and golf course and turn the recording device on.

played 36 today

My computer was down for the most of last week, so I couldn't have done anything anyway. I'll try to do something over the weekend now that I'm back in business....
