Wink How about...

a Taylor 12-string 1 7/8 nut, in amazing original condition, from what many call the Golden Years of Taylor? It's listed in my signature. Thx

The Chris Proctor model, the CPSM, also had a 1-7/8" nut on six strings. Great guitars.....

Of course, you can always order one from Taylor that way (through an authorized dealer).

You can also look at some older ones. In the early/mid '90s Taylor would occasionally find themselves with too many 12-string neck blanks (1-7/8) and would put them on Grand Concerts. This seemed to happen up until about '96.

I know this because I bought a standard 812ce in '95 from a local dealer and after a couple weeks realized that the neck was wider than any of my 1-3/4...but I liked it a lot. So I called Taylor to get the scoop. I talked with TJ Baden for a good hour about it (and everything else, including the fact that they built my guitar on a Friday the 13th, how we prepped our nails for playing, etc).

Anyway, it was common practice back then simply because they were still a very small shop doing a lot by hand (even though they had the CNCs, they were still figuring out how best to use them) and they would just work with what they had ready.

HTH

Take a peek here. If you like Taylors, this may be right in the sweet spot of what you are looking for...

I forgot to mention that I contacted Taylor with the SN and confirmed that it had a 1 7/8" nut width.
