Hi Folks! I'll try to post a photo or two every day for the next 3-4 days ... then a brief audio file.

Here's the first shot. My customer requested a cover for the side port ... here's what I came up with.

very cool picture. the cover fits snugly on I presume.

Hi Stuart ... yep, fits like a glove. I don't get very many requests for the covers, but when I do, I construct them similar to an f-hole plug on an archtop. I bend the wood for the outside ... laminate it to 2mm bent fibre-board to make it structurally sound ... then glue 5/8" dense foam that is a smidge bigger than the port on the inside. The foam compresses as you gently push the plug in the hole and secures it in place.
