Default playing at gigs: humidity

I only play at home. And I have a humidified guitar room. But if I want to play in my living room I have to bring my guitar out into low RH conditions. How do you guys that play at gigs - in low RH weather - deal with that? Ever have humidity damage because of it? Is several hours in a low RH room OK?

I don't think a few hours performing is going to hurt anything.

It takes more than just a few hours to dry out a guitar even at very low RH. As long as you put it back into the proper humidiity afterwards this is not an issue.

On several occasions, I've taken my 814c out of the house kept at 45% humidity and 72 degrees F. and played outside, under an open roof, on a rainy, 95 %, 89 degree day for 2 or 3 hours with no adverse effects. As Songwriter Fan mentioned, the rate at which guitars absorb and release moisture is quite slow.

Default Let's get real, here!

Taking your guitar out of its case to play will NOT hurt it. Some of us do that now and then. Even when the humidity is less or more than the ideal. Really!
