Paypal security system blocks Reverb purchase

Just had 2 purchases from Reverb and going through Paypal checkout flagged by Paypal security. Neither checkout would even show my Paypal balance as a payment option. It took 2 calls to Paypal to finally be told that their security system was the reason and I should try again in 24-48 hrs. Certainly nothing fishy going on here considering Reverb's competition to Ebay, right?

Did you use Paypal balance/credit as payment?

I won't use PayPal, a credit card I use in case there is a problem I can stop payment or dispute it if there is a problem. I only have had good luck with Reverb.

Well my issue is with Paypal, not Reverb.

Yeah I had that option too. They blocked me from using my balance or Paypal credit.
