Am I letting my P-Bass go too cheap?
Maybe you can help me out with this. I'm selling my MINT condition (I mean SPOTLESS!!!) Fender American Standard Precision w/case. All original. It's a 1995. Guy offered me $700 cash. Would I be letting it go too cheap?

Well of course we want more $ when we sell. But technically it is used. That's about what I'd want to pay. I know its a shame selling now days. I have import and USA Fender basses. Yes the extra money makes a difference in feel and finish.

I had $750 in my head before I clicked on the thread. There is a 1995 Am Std. P Bass with Gig Bag on TalkBass right now for $650 plus $40 shipping. That is a tad low, but not by much.

Search Ebay and see what they're going for.

I'm a bass player ... I would be interested at that price. Any higher than that I'd pass without giving it another thought.

If I needed a P Bass, I would be interested at $700 as well. My thought was that he might be able to get $750. I think we have a consensus, if 3 bass players makes a consensus, that $700 is a pretty good buying price, but certainly not a steal.

It's worth what someone will pay. If you hold out for another month, say, for $750 and get no takers, then you know you're in the right ballpark. That price seemed reasonable to me, too, for what that's worth.
