Demo of the Godin Inuk
Cool instrument, 11 strings all doubled except single low E. Tuned like a guitar. Kind of a mandolin on steroids. Came from the MiddleEastern Oud, which developed into the European Lute. One of the oldest instruments still played. Doesn't work for all songs. need to pick it. Did this at Church last Sunday. Very impressed with Godin quality and they went out on a limb with this one, not your everyday offering. Great for changing things up.

As I commented on youtube, lovely instrument with a definite octave mandolin tone. Could see this being a very interesting addition to the sonic armoury ! Lovely sonic too which I will have to investigate further

Love the trend to have instruments tuned like guitars that give you instant access to different sounds. This is the most exotic, but Banjitar is similar thought. Godin quality is as good as anything out there, neck and playability perfect; really important with double coarse strings.
