Default Fingerboard: Least Played Note.??

I've been thinking about this lately.... What note on the fretboard is the least played.

I'm thinking that F note on the low e string right at the nut.

Is there a "known note" that simply doesn't get played.??

I don't know.... Do you.??
(i know, all of them get played in jazz)

I’m guessin’ there must be dozens of ‘em I don’t even know the names of, up the dusty end of the fretboard.

Default least played

For me it is any of the notes on the wound strings above the 14th fret. I can't ever recall using them.

Low F - is used a lot.

If I had to bet, I bet my personal one would be the D# on the 11th fret on the low E string.

Just no real reason to be on the Low E when you're up that high. The 12th frets have all of the harmonics though

Definitely *not* the low F on low E string.

Yeah the low F note is essential! Unless you never play an F chord. I’d agree that the low strings up near the 12th fret don’t get a ton of work.

Dunno. I just started using the flatted 3rd in G, 5th string. As a note, not in a run.

I'd go with the highest note on the low E string.

Hey, I play jazz, and I still don't use ALL of them...

I'd say the low E and A above the 12-14th fret as well...there's just not much reason for them, usually...if I'm up there, it's because I want the high notes...

But that low F...I'd be very unhappy without it.

I know nothing about it, so, I'm going to go with this one.

i believe that the F at the nut gets played a lot. less likely would be the F way up toward the bridge.

play music!

Yeh, I'd second the mention of the highest notes on the 6th because they struggle to ring nicely.
The F, F# and G region on the 5th string is troublesome, we all know.
And while we're up there, I'd say that the whole package of notes between frets 8 and 12 on strings 4, 5 and 6 are the last bunch most players get confident with.

That's where D pentatonic lives.
