I've been very happy using the Aura with a couple guitars.

The old Taylor 314CE with a Fishman Matrix sounded horrible amplified before I discovered the Aura. Now it sounds much like a well miced Mahogany Dreadnought.

The other guitar is a Godin Multiac Nylon String. That guitar, which is basically a chambered solid body with a saddle transducer, always sounded good on its own but not really acoustic. The Aura definitely warms up the sound to make it sound closer to a real nylon string guitar.

I have the Aura AST and they go used for cheap on the Bay. You might also consider (also used for cheap) the Yamaha AG Stomp. I just got one and am working with it. It has 8 mic 'images' that work with ANY guitar. My acoustic really sound great with the nylon string ones, believe it or not. I'll post a full review once I get some time on it. Hope that helps.

Just got a second hand Aura Dreadnought which I upgraded to an Aura 16

Here's an early example on a Gypsy guitar (DG300 petit bouche) with the provided Dell Arte Anounman model.

You can hear how the Aura, even if not perfect, is way ahead of the piezo alone.

Blended with the live sound coming from the guitar works really nicely.

If you can find somebody with a Tonedexter, or really listen to the various demos on line, you will find that there is no comparison, the signal from the Tonedexter is not only much better than the Aura, but can be used in multiple guitars and is very flexible in that you can make new wave maps with different microphones and different microphone positions. Save your money for the Tonedexter IMHO.
