Default New song: A Million Miles Away from Home

Hey guys,

Just finished a new song and wanted to share it. At some point, I'll make a better recording, but this is an early take as an iPhone recording with the Pono parlor in my office. Feedback welcome- thanks for listening.

Rich

Hi Rich,

Is this your own composition!!??

Either way, beautifully done! You have a very pleasant voice, very nice vocal quality, and right on the notes!

And nice playing on the guitar!

All around very winning recording! Well done!

- Glenn

Thanks so much for the kind words, Glenn. Yes, this is a new song of mine. I've got a new trio that I'm playing with and so it's great motivation to finish some new songs, always the hardest part for me. Thanks for the listen and thoughtful response. Your songs are always so soulfully performed- it means a lot to hear from you.

Holy cow was that ever excellent! Absolutely fabulous. Do I detect a Beatles influence?

Thumbs up

Yeah it's very well done, it seemed like I was listening to some famous hit from the 70s

Thanks, Doug- much appreciated! Yes, there's definitely some Beatle-y stuff in there, especially the minor iv chord and major II. Thanks for positive feedback!

Thanks, Josh. Yup, I definitely came of age in the time of the 3 minute pop song. Thanks so much for the listen and encouragement!

Rich, great song! I like the chord progressions, great lyrics and singing. Lots of great potential with this one. Nice!
