Default Larrivee SO-03RW ??

I have a Larrivee 03RW SO,it has a wide 12 fret neck and was made in Canada. Does anyone have one & does the SO stand for special order. I have searched the net but can find no info on this model.

Maybe fire an email off to Larrivee?

Are you sure it isn't SD (slope dreadnaught) rather than SO? They have a wider neck w/12 frets to the body. I haven't ever seen "SO" used in their model designations.

Larrivee SO, would denote back and sides of Silver Oak. Is the b&s a light colored wood?

+1. Not sure how the "RW" (rosewood) comes into play though.

Do you have a pic? Does it have a slotted headstock? I'm googling but can't find any reference to "SO". Does it say SO on the paper label?

Edit: Just found that there's a OM-03R-SH, which is a custom order of 32 guitars by the Twelfth Fret in Canada back in 2006 or so. The Twelfth Fret is one of Canada's premier guitar stores. Perhaps your "SO" is a limited run (unrelated to this one).

I believe SO is an internal designation for a slope shouldered 12-frett OM.

Let's see a picture of the actual label.

The dimensions you listed make this a 000 (see Larrivee website). The 03 Rosewood series did not have a 000 as standard, so it is probably a special order.

Hi Chris,

"SO" is our internal code for 000. It stands for "Slope OM". Our internal system is set up for accepting 2 digits when referring to body style.
