I think it's more likely due to uninformed sales staff, not realizing what has changed on the newly arrived OT series guitars.

Elderly confirmed to me that they are no longer heat-stamping their name on the back of the headstock. The reason given is that they are changing from from limited local marketing of these guitars to world wide distribution.

That makes a lot of sense to me. I know this was always Stan's long range goal.

Elderly really needs a comparison page with all of the models. Very confusing.

I was thinking the same thing.

I read and re-read all the offerings the other day. It boils down to laminate mahogany(OT-22) and rosewood(OT-23) back and sides. Then there is the Original spec 1 11/16" nut and the wide 1 3/4". Left handed available too.

But to really muddy the waters, they have some with Acacia fingerboard and bridge and some with rosewood. It seems the recent arrivals have the rosewood. Or rather they are calling it "Asian Rosewood" I believe Acacia is known as "Asian Rosewood"

Then you have the solid wood versions too. The mahogany (OT-25) and the rosewood (OT-26) with rosewood fingerboards and bridge. But there is OT-26's with Solid Pao Ferro back and sides. These have Pao Ferro fingerboard and bridge. Also in original and wide.
**It appears the newer ones have the rosewood.**

These are offered in Natural and Sunburst finishes.

I think that is why we see so many offerings. It appears wood specs have changed.

And I'm seeing now they offer OT-62 and OT-63 that are slope shoulder 14 fret dreds. That is new, expected date in 05/18. Same wood specs as the OT-22 and 23.

I’m close to jumping on an ot22 but remarks about the thin neck is causing hesitation. Has anyone calipered a Farida neck? If it’s at least .083/21mm or so with C shape, I can live with it; if it’s .07x and flat backed I know my hand will cramp up quickly. Could someone please offer deeper details on the depth of the neck. The YT vids have sounded pretty darn good given the limits of judging a guitar with Bose ear buds into a laptop sound quality.

I have not measured the neck for the exact marks in change but the OT22 does have a lower C profile, very much like an electric guitar neck. No V whatsoever but it doesn't effect my playing. BTW, most of my guitars are a more pronounced or bigger V profile. From the vintage Gibson war time guitars like my 1943 and 44' LG-2s, to my V necked Waterloos.
