I have the Lyric pickup in my D-35. I added a Venue pre-amp, for it's EQ capabilities....I have found that the Venue does a nice job of adding a much needed low end to the Lyric...your mileage may vary...I'm playing thru an amp, you're playing thru a P.A. system...your P.A. system may also need adjustments to make it sound good enough for you....shaping sound is an art form, it's not just simple plug and play.
