Default How to Play Sam Cooke's Summertime

Posted this earlier in wrong part of the forum (pesky newbie!)...can anyone help please?

Could someone please explain the notes, fingering etc for the guitar accompaniment to Sam Cooke's version of Summertime? Thanks, Binks

gives the chords in the right key but they are not exactly what is played on the recording.

If this is not what you want then perhaps you could post a link to the right version.

The F#m is a standard Minor bar chord

The Bm can be a bar chord

2 2 4 4 3 2

or it can be played

X 2 4 4 3 X

with the 2 moved to the sixth string for the alternating bass note.

The C#7 is

X 4 3 4 2 X

and move the same shape up one fret for D7.

The A is the standard open A chord

0 0 2 2 2 0.

You hold down these shapes but need only to pick the strings shown on the tab.
