Default Older Breedlove question

Gang, many years ago I remember seeing Breedlove guitars with radical shapes like this:

and thinking they were badass. More recently, when I started playing more seriously again and looking at new models, the radical shapes were gone, replaced by more common rounded guitars.

What's the history of the square-ish ones?

That's their CM body shape:

Quote:
Designed in 1992, the CM put Breedlove on the map with unique design and distinctively crafted sound. Built on Breedlove’s Concert shape, with an asymmetrical twist, this innovative award-winning design captures the essence of Breedlove’s imaginative challenger mentality. No other guitar looks or sounds quite like it. The sonic imprint of the CM is uniquely full spectrum and immensely gratifying; the lower bout rewards the player with a generous, defined bass, while the abbreviated upper bout generates beautifully balanced and clear treble tones. The CM is excellent for alternate tunings and has been described as having piano-like qualities. If you wish to expand your sonic and aesthetic boundaries, the CM is an adventurous design that will deliver in spades.
It appears that they only have a single CM in their entire lineup now (at $7,999):

So it is! I didn't realize they still made it.
