Default Neck Relief On Your Hybrid?

Weather is changing, wood is moving, and I’m getting some fret buzz I’d like to eliminate. The string height is where I like it but measured relief is low…time to adjust I think.
Where do you like your relief, and also, how do you take your measurement?

Thanks All.

Slap a capo on the first fret, hold a string down at the body junction and look for a gap between the string and a fret half way between the capoed fret and where you are holding down a string at the body junction. That's usually around fret 7. Look for .010" to .020" gap. You can use the thickness of a business card or slightly more for nylon string clearance relief.

Adjust to your preferred amount, of course.

On my steel strings I have 2' metal ruler that I lay across the frets. I don't like seeing much sunlight under that ruler on the steel. I haven't measured my classicals, but I turned the truss rods on them a few quarter turns when I first got them, and just went by how they played.
