Default elixir strings again, maybe

i haven't used elixir strings for well over a year now and want to give them another try. i've been using newtones, which i feel gives a more natural acoustic sound. anyway i play mostly plugged in now through the church P.A., and don't think it will make that much difference, and i'll get longer string life. so which one of the 3 types of elixirs, do you users feel are less bright and twangy?

I recently left Elixir nano's to go back to DA Phos Bronze's and I gotta say that Im going back to the nano's. Remember how weird it felt playing coated strings for the first time? It felt just as weird going back...and I miss how slick the nano's were.

I really like the PB Nanos, especially on my GSRS. Had been using John Pearse Bluegrass Gauge, but they went from warm to dead relatively quickly (using "String Swipes" helps but not much). Hated Elixir Nanos because they only came in 80/20, and the Polys because of the fuzzing, but then they brought the Nanos out not just in PB but in "Lt. Med.," which is bluegrass gauge. I really like the absence of squeak, especially since I use a lot of moveable chords up and down the neck.

I think that nano's are brighter than poly's.
If you want less brightness and tinny-ness go with poly's...
If you cant find 'em, then get nano PB's probably...

I always felt elixirs were too bright... but to each his own.

At first I didn't like the sound of these on my 814e (they sounded dead and they were brand new), but must admit that I am liking them more now that I've "broken" them in a bit.

Default Elixir Strings again, maybe

I have been using Elixirs for years, the only problem is if you break a string. I really like the new Phosphorus(sp?) Bronze, other wise the Nanowebs are fine. Anyone try the new Ernie Ball Coated strings? I have a set on two guitars both Martins, so far so good but I want to see how they last now that the Humid weather has hit. As far as sound, they sound great and feel just like regular acoustic strings.
