Looks & sounds great. I've heard it comes in 1-11/16 & 1-3/4 nuts. True? Here's a summary on the Collings site: http://www.collingsguitars.com/acous...om1-jl-release

EDIT -- I just received a promotional email from Collings with details. And yes it's also available with 1-3/4 and 2-5/16 spacing.

I love guitars like these that rely on design, materials, and build for their beauty. They don't need any adornment.

I thought Julian's comments in the description video were great. Well articulated and insightful. You can tell a lot of thought went into this guitar. The "waltz" video is just beautiful.

Something in the video JL said gave me a chuckle...something about it being a guitar that requires you to show up for it to sound its best. That in a nutshell is why I no longer own any Collings. I need a guitar that sounds great regardless of what I'm bringing to the table that day...

I have two Collings Traditionals-- OM-2H-T and D1-T, both with baked sitka tops. They're magnificent instruments and made a believer out of me. I'm sure the JL is a nice one, but my stable's full.

I think this is Collings' only sig model. They did a OM1 with Pete Huttlinger's name on it, but that was a fundraising project to help with Pete's medical expenses. All the proceeds went to him. Generally, I believe Bill Collings disdained sig models as empty hype. Guess his collaboration with JL really made an impression on him.

For better or worse, I am!
I can't wait to demo the heck out of one of these. Though, I'm sure I won't give it the work out Julian is capable of giving it.

1 11/16 with 2 3/16" and a pick = freedom of speed, accurate smooth fast changes and hence more melodic expression.
