Don't drop it overboard in Tahoe....you will never see it again! I love mine. I gig with it every week and it never fails me in tone or playability. I even Nashville tuned it once to see what it would sound like. Not so good. But its a gem. Congrats.

Default Congratulations and Custom Neck question

Congratulations! How did you like the custom neck you ordered?

Texrider - I did not order a custom neck. That said, I sort of wish I had gone for a slightly slimmer carve but I don't have any problems playing it even though I do not have really large hands! LOL!!!

The guitar is awesome........no complaints whatsoever!!

Thumbs up

Exquisite. I'm always impressed by the quality of the frets on Emeralds.

Brilliant work they do over there.

Jim: Stunning! What a beauty.

I've been thinking about adding a CF guitar (I live in Arizona) and the Emerald is a strong candidate.

BTW, we just happen to be staying on the shores of Grapevine Lake (The Vineyards) in our motorhome. So... hello to you from Grapevine! We like this area a lot and are considering moving here.

DHart - welcome to da hood!! :-) Grapevine is a really nice smaller lake, and the Vineyards is a cool spot!! The company I work for (RAB Lighting) manufacturers LED commercial light fixtures. The new pavillion there has RAB lights underneath and on the exterior of it. I haven't seen the finished product at night yet, but am betting it looks really great.

You wouldn't go wrong relocating here to Grapevine!! Enjoy your stay!!

Thanks Jim... this truly is one of the finest, most beautiful RV parks we're ever seen. And what a fantastic region (the NW suburbs of DFW.). We're thinking we would choose a place on a wooded acre in SW Flower Mound or Double Oak... but the entire area is so inspiring! May be a neighbor of yours one day soon!

I'll bet you are so thrilled with your Emerald. And how nice to have a fine acoustic guitar that you have no concerns with regarding humidity (or lack thereof, where I live) or temperature. Congrats to you.

It's a magical place--don't tell anyone or it will go the way of so many sweet spots.

Those pics are screen captures of the Heavenly Observation Deck Webcam.

I never noticed that the Lake Tahoe shoreline is shaped like a guitar body.

I love skiing at Heavenly which is on the South East corner of Lake Tahoe. I try to go there every couple of years. My soul feels at ease there. I can almost hear angels singing in heaven when I'm on top of that mountain. That's one of the places I want some of my ashes scattered.

Halfway up the Heavenly gondola ride they have an observation deck where you can get out and walk around. They used to have a webcam setup on the observation deck that broadcasted 24/7. When I got stressed, I could call up that webcam and get transported back to the observation deck in real time. Unfortunately they took this cam down.

The top of the mountain I think is enchanted. The top is right at the top of the tree line, where wind is routinely over 60mph. So the few trees that do happen to cling onto life among the boulders are all stunted, twisted and gnarly. To me it looks like a giant Bonsai garden.
