Default Songs which best represent Countries

Performing at a holiday tavern in the Ionian islands recently, the discussion came up as to what the best song was, which best represents the country it comes from ( not Including anthems).

With an international sailing community present, these were some of the conclusions reached. Needless to say, with me cobbling the chords together (thanks ultimate guitar app!) the relevant songs had to be sung by the relevant nationalities. Great fun ensued.

In no order:

Scotland: I would walk 500 miles, The Proclaimers
Ireland: Dirty old town or Fields of Athenry
Wales: Delilah, Tom Jones
England: hmm, difficult one this with "Imagine" a strong contender, but thought to be too international and finally settling with Wild Rover, trad folk.
France: Je ne regrete rien Edith Piaf
Germany: Lily Marlene
Australia: Waltzing Matilda was thought too twee, and finally settled on Men at Work by Men at Work.
New Zealand: Only one lady present from NZ but soloed a beautiful Maori trad ballad acapella.

That's it, regretfully no friends from Canada or the US, so no conclusion reached.

Any other ideas?

For Oz you could be looking at either
Solid Rock - Goana Band
or
Great Southern Land - Icehouse.

For Russia, I'm guessing it would have to be Trololo by Eduard Khil:

Awesome! There are no words, literally, that can describe how that made me feel. Thanks for sharing that one, it made my day.

I would place a link for the 'America' song in Team America World Police but just the act of mentioning it falls in the bounds of removal according to AGF policies.
