Lol. Funky = sounded like garbage. . I took the wah out of the chain. I see the fulltones get good reviews as others have mentioned. The xotic is interesting, I have their clean boost mini pedal. I play some trop rock/reggae and use the Wah for that. I don't need all the bells and whistles since I have plenty of tone shaping with the amp. I just need a solid basic wah that won't break after 2 weeks use.

Yeah, a short treadle pretty much dictates that. Personally, I like it that way; it feels like I have more fine control than with one where small travel equals substantial change. And I badly needed just that much more space on my board, so it’s been great for me.

I have a Real McCoy Custom RMC10 (The Perfect 10 Wah) for sale if you might be interested. It is a real nice wah.

The lead singer in my band gave me his cry baby in 1982. Its seen thousands of gigs, never failed, and still sounds pretty darn good. Its heavy and a tad noisy, and looks like it went thru a war. I adjusted the pot setting so its not so harsh on the high end. I played one of the mini cry baby's and didn't the feel--

Xotic has the most versatile one I have found.

Weird. They are bombproof. I have the Cry Baby with the Fasel in it. I think you just got unlucky.

I used to have a George Dennis, which was pretty good. Moved to the Dunlop Wah, which I thought was awesome, but have also messed around with a Fulltone Clyde, which was probably the best sounding wah I've ever played!
