She's the scourge of the stupid, the dishonest, the ignorant, and those trying to get something for nothing. "Are you stupid or what?!" she bawls at some inarticulate, addle-brained loser. "Tooken?? There's no such word as "token"!" she hollers at another.

Judge Judy's huge salary is not so much for being a mere show time judge; it's for being the hanging judge of the people we're normally coerced into respecting against our will. When someone stands up and says the stuff that people think but dare not utter, some curious things can happen.

In a sense, though, that's what Judge Judy provides - one brand of wisdom that trashes political correctness. There are other copycat versions, but none of them, I think, actually call people idiots to their faces.

Sorry, I really don't like Judge Judy. She talks down to everyone, treats people like they're five year old children in a way that makes her look emotionally immature. Then again, if she was more professional and mature herself people wouldn't watch it.
