Tascam DP-008EX foot switch?
Anyone using a foot switch on their Tascam DP-008EX?
What is it? Just started making inquiries and one reply suggested the Boss FS-5U. Any one using one of those with their DP-008EX?

Wow, 73 'views' and not 1 single suggestion.
Guess I'm on my own with this one.

108 'views' no suggestions.
Here's what Tascam support just sent me, Since the TASCAM RC-30P is no longer manufactured (with no replacement), any momentary closure, "NO" (normally open) foot-switch using a 1/4" phone plug can be used. Examples: * BOSS FS-5U * M-AUDIO SP-1 Thank you for your interest in TASCAM products.

Brucebubs,
Don't feel bad. I have posted in this sub-forum and gotten many views with no response. That happened on a couple of occasions. As you have found, we get the answers to our questions, just not always here. If people don't know the answer, there is probably little point to posting a response. I don't know the answer to your question, but then I don't claim any expertise in this area to begin with. I am posting just to let you know you are being heard. I only wish I had the knowledge that leads to a suitable answer. Tony

I posted the reply from Tascam above your post.(Just in case anyone was interested) Guess I sorta worked it out myself. Very surprised no one had any suggestions. This forum is usually an outstanding source for help.

I think the Boss is what I have. It's buried under a pile of stuff tho. Really comes in handy for punching in. The DP-008 is a great piece of kit. Runs on batteries, has actual knobs. Sit on the couch and tweak mixes with headphones. Fun.
