Custom Doerr LS #99 from Healdsburg
As previously promised, here are some shots of Doerr #99 which I purchased at Healdsburg 2013. Apologies in advance for my poor photography skills--I've gained a newfound appreciation for all the beautiful shots put up by all of our talented luthiers and forum members!
I'm really loving this guitar--plays like butter with a voice that really speaks to me and smells great every time out of the case! This guitar really fits the bill for me and is so comfortable to play. Love all the detailing and choices that Tom made on this guitar--I can highly recommend Tom Doerr to anyone seeking out a custom guitar. Great guy and a fantastic luthier. Hopefully the pics will show here... Here's the link to the entire album.... https://plus.google.com/u/0/photos/1...03758374156641 If I get brave enough, there may be soundclips coming in the future--thanks for looking, and thanks as well for all the friendship, knowledge, and support I've found through the AGF!

Doerr #99
Wow!!! Gorgeous guitar. What kind of spruce top is that?
I have a Baranik in African Blackwood and Colorado Blue Spruce that is definitely a keeper for me. I'm glad you found such a keeper!!! It's guitars like this that would have tempted me too much if I went to Healdsburg this year when I couldn't really afford another new guitar. I hope you do post some sound clips down the road. I'd love to hear them. Congratulations on such a fine guitar. I love the burl used for the rosette and headstock.
