Default My "play from the gut" stab at Neil Young's Like A Hurricane

Do you ever set out to record a particular song and then lose
the feeling for it after trying too many times? I was trying to
record another song (not this one) and quit
but still felt like playing so with the camera still rolling I spotted
my room fan and had a crazy idea. I switched it on high and
proceeded to play and sing Like A Hurricane in a way I have
never done before.

Completely raw and unrehearsed played from the gut.
Making it up as I go along.
To my surprise when I played it back i thought it had that raw
spontaneous energy so I kept this first take.
I later went back and added harmony vocal overdubs to the chorus.

I really like doing this spontaneous unrehearsed stuff because it is
like a thrilling roller coaster ride you have never been on before.
Decisions are made instantly (and yes the mistakes are there to prove it!):

I had this crazy idea that you had done it before.

I like it! I hesitate to write this, but here goes....the overdubs, while they don't hurt the performance, don't add anything to it.

Hey thanks for taking the time to look up that old post but that link is dead there. This is an all new video with overdubbed vocal harmonies and a complete remastering of the audio so not the same but thanks for keeping tabs anyway.

Thanks for that input!! Everything I try is experimental so I surely do appreciate people taking the time to offer input like that. I figured I would give it a try.
