Default NGD - and *NOT* what anyone would expect

OK no pics yet ...

New guitar day, though....

I just picked up a Daisy Rocks Rock Candy pink sparkle like this

Our daughter had been wanting one just to mess around with. I got this one from shopgoodwill for $80.

It looks brand new and unused!

Forget the novelty star/flower/heart shaped guitars. The higher end line (these) of Daisy Rocks are reasonably good guitars for people with smaller builds.

This one is a carved top, LP shape. It has dual Seymour Duncan humbuckers with a coil tap/split. It feels great. Action is a little high but its a bolt-on neck with tune-a-matic bridge so trivial to set up and adjust.

Surprisingly nice little electric guitar. The neck feels great and the weight balance is nice too.

The pups are very hot and the intonation is good enough before adjustment.

I've actually heard pretty consistently good things about these.

Nice! I bought one of the Heartbreaker Artist guitars for my daughter. I'm waiting to play it at church near Valentine's Day....

So I spent a little time setting this up for her - it's going to be a gift.

I got the intonation spot on after about just ten minutes.

Polished the frets and spruces up the fretboard.

Cleaned off one scuff mark and polished the chrome bits with my dremel.

Essentially unused and 100% new looking now. Even the included strap was unused. Such a good deal.

Just bought a case for $39 from MF.

These, of course aren't perfect guitars. The real rosewood fingerboard needed a little attention on the edges and the grover tuners were a little sloppy, the bridge parts aren't perfect etc.

But even at MSRP, or even full retail, this is a nice little guitar.

Sounds like a great little starter guitar. A carved top is a bonus.
