My "tradition" is the day after Thanksgiving (black friday) I start putting up our outdoor Christmas lights and decorations. So I am sitting here drinking coffee waiting to eat some late breakfast and get bundled up to go outside.
So last year the whole family wanted to fully experience the black friday madness. So, we got up at like 1AM and went shopping and came home at like 4AM......just to do it. I can say, "been there, done that". We are doing nothing, shopping-wise. We had a fantastic Thanksgiving day, wife has to work today. Our daughters both worked until midnight. The youngest works in retail now and she was a black friday worker last night. She had a great work day (never expected to hear that) but she is an over-performer so the harder/busier the more she excels. So we agreed, no shopping although the youngest has another work day today.

Black Friday
We had my son and his family over yesterday, therefore a lot of cleanup to do. I don't know why because we're babysitting his two kids for the weekend, they will make a monumental mess around the house as usual.
I'm practicing some songs for a Christmas party we're playing at next Friday night. Probably surf the net, but there will be no shopping whatsoever !!

I have a not-usual (for me) gig at the Eugene Holiday Market at 11:30am.
We’ll see how it goes...it’s generally a noisy crowd, which I will try to tame a bit...
