Default Thomastik Infeld BeBop Strings...are awesome!

I've been using Thomstik Infeld BeBop strings (.013) for several years. The last set I just took off my archtop had been on there since last January (11 months) and still sounded and felt fresh. The only reason I changed them was I thought surely the risk of a string breaking after so much time was increasing, and I'm gigging with this guitar every weekend. If I was just using it at home, I probably would not have changed strings yet. They cost a bit more than other strings, but they're worth it.

Thanks for the info.
What guitar do you use with these strings?

16" L5? Edit: I am an idiot; it is your Wine Red L-5 Wes Montgomery, of course, that you showed in another thread.

Here's Jimmy Bruno with the T-I BB114 14-55 Bebops on a Bill Comins Zelig 16" archtop guitar:

Great strings, the T-I Bebops.

These strings are great but I think the TI George Benson roundwounds are even better. Simply amazing strings.

Agree with OP. Love TI round (and flat) wound strings. Pricey, but excellent quality and tone.

I know it's hard to describe tone in words, but would love to hear some descriptions of the acoustic qualities of these strings. What makes them appealing?
