Default What is the single best sounding guitar you ever owned?

For me the best sounding acoustic I've ever had (and still do) is my Taylor GC3. Simple and for my fingerstyle playing it really does it.

Best electric was an American Standard Tele I used for chord melody work. The neck pickup was to die for.

I know that's two but what the heck.

How about you?

Martin 00028EC.
I have several other Martins, but if the house was on fire and all I could grab was one it would my 2007 Martin 000-28EC.
For both its tone and playability it's the favorite of all 27 guitars I have in the past or currently own.

Very subjective. But for me, the 1955 000 18 that I played for 30 years--close to every day.

Electric is harder, but I think my 72 Les Paul standard (gold top, p 90s) is probably tops. But I have had others that were close seconds.

Could well be the Martin 0028VS that I sold recently because the 1 7/8" nut and shorter scale didn't work so well for me. Stunningly complex, rich sound with sustain that lasted forever. I would sit and strum chords and then just listen to the array of tones that followed. Happily, it is now owned by a fellow AGFer and my replacement Santa Cruz F is just fine.

The best sounding acoustic guitar I have ever owned is my Eastman AC-822, Engelmann over Rosewood. It is not just the best sounding guitar I've owned but in the top five best sounding guitars I've ever played.

My next one lol. The endless pursuit.
Seriously though My 814. Though it has developed this highly annoying buzz from somewhere in the body. It's incredibly difficult to diagnose as the buzz comes and goes. The two places I've taken it were nice enough to charge me $50 for an intonation setup, but that is not what it needed. I'm probably just gonna have to bite the bullet and send it back home and let them figure it out.
