Default Old Man - Neil Young

Thanks for listening.

Little rough...but it captures my mood this Sunday morning.

That sounds nice, and I was wincing expecting typically horrible fake-falsetto Neil Young impression, you came in nice on vocals.

The only hopefully helpful criticism I'd offer you is that the guitar playing while you sing is really focused on the top three strings, there's hardly any bass notes, and things like the a to b hammer-on on fifth string (coming out of the g chord at "so much MORE" are totally absent during the vocals. This leads to kind of a thinning for the listener. That syncopated rhythm style of Neil's requires a bit of busy-ness even while singing.

Are you in drop D? Let the sucker ring!

Thanks to everyone's kind words..

I'm going to try this one again soon.

Interesting.. I am not a huge Neil Young player. But I heard this one a while back and thought it would be fun to learn.

That was only the 2nd or 3rd time that I'd ever played it all the way through! So still have a ways to go ...

That is really surprising Jake as your style fits his tunes really well.

If you want to do some rocking out and maybe add a lead solo track a couple of his songs that I like to jam on are Powderfinger and Like a Hurricane.
