Some neck work. Decided to use a scarf joint and capture it with veneer on the back. Figured out how to do my slots...

Neck and heel pinned.

Joints glued and clamped with HHG.

Bit of progress on the Stahl. Spot filling with lacquer. About 1/3 done with finish.

Or 5 pieces if you count.
Guess it's one of my "freedoms".

Hans, I like how you express your "freedoms". You've been posting some really great stuff lately; thanks for giving a view of your designs and finished works.

How's that oak/adi GC6 that you finished a year or two ago sounding now?

Okay... so I take it there are no reasons to make a stacked heel you wish to share other than your personal choice. I can respect that.

I guess we as buyers have freedoms also... to purchase guitars that are constructed according to our preferences....I personally don't care for a stacked heel....I guess that is what makes it all great! We can buy what we like.

Nice work on this instrument.

Chuck, thanks!
The red spruce/white oak is quite the guitar, you should stop by sometime to try it and the parlor.
CPA, thanks for sharing your preferences. Yes, that makes it all good. I have the freedoms to build what "I" want, not what you want. It is, after all, for me...

I guess it only ever matters if you are selling it. Good luck with that, its very attractive.
