BTW, Did you get that African Blackwood guitar back from Joe? Love to hear that one too.
Thanks! The African Blackwood is not back yet. I'll keep you posted.
I should have the Baby Taylor done any day now if you want to try her out.

And the top is ready for some carving!

Before

And after!!

so here's a summary of the project:

Thinner Lutz Soundboard
Moved X-braces location
Tappered and Carved X-braces
Added tone bars and finger braces
Used a rosewood Bridge patch instead of plywood
Enlarged soundhole
Installed an Abalone Rosette

There's too little "real estate" to work on and I wanted to keep the amount of work to a minimum. As soon as I find a damaged Big Baby I'll do the full works on it!

Very pretty inlay. What about putting a full-gloss finish on it?

I just strung her up last night and sound pretty amazing in comparison. My wife even said, "wow, that's loud!"
I don't have any recording software but maybe I can get someone around here to help.

Thanks,
Peter

Bah, just record it with your digital camera and throw it up on Youtube, everybody knows that's a good way to tell what a guitar sounds like

Peter,
Very nice! I think the enlarged soundhole looks better. The abalone rosette sure does. Would love to hear this little beauty.

So... ahem... what would you charge for a service like this?
