Default Made in USA

Looking for an affordable ALL TUBE combo amp... What are my options for a Made In USA brand only?? Trying to keep it in the $1000 and under range. Thanks.

HI, even I prefer German amps for acoustic guitars (AER) I heartly recommend Groove Tubes amps. I bought me 2 used Soul-O 75 combo amps and they are just fine. I don't know if they still can find them and how much they cost meanwhile but they are just great!

$1000 for 12" speakers, 2 speakers, 2 channels, reverb and some power or a practice amp?

Used amps will open up the selection if you want something with some size, and Fender Hot Rods series can be considered then where I've seen used made in USA copies.

Princetons can be inexpensive and can sound very good and also repaired for the right price.

70's era Fender, silver face Deluxe Reverb. They're great amps, and are still reasonable, but they aren't getting any cheaper either.

What kind of parameters do you have? Size, Weight, Volume, Musical Style, etc?

Hmmm.... That Vintage 16/5 watt really tweaks my interest. What a great deal.

Brother...........USA brands yes, made probably not new. Most USA made amps are higher-end tube boxes. Crate is a USA brand that makes some great 12", 40 watt all tube amps - but they're made overseas.

You can get some old Fender USA made amps. Try some local pawn shops you might do well there.

You could have Jim Frenzel make an amp for you and have enough left to put together a nice cabinet. Handmade, great price and great product. Plus he's a nice guy. I've got a four banger (sort of a souped up Deluxe) running through a 1X10", 1X12" cab. Put it together for well under a grand.

Cool

I think it's better to spend an extra $ and to get something that you will be satisfied with for many years... otherwise you will be constantly changing your equipment.

It's been a few years since I got mine. I noticed some prices have gone up (what a surprise). Still a great value in my book, but depending on the amp, it might be tougher to stay under a thou when all is said and done.

My recommendation: Rivera Amplification, headed by Paul Rivera, Sr., the same man who headed amp R&D for Fender in the early 80's. I have a 1984 Rivera-designed Fender Super Champ, the last of the point-to-point, hand-wired Fender production amps. You won't be sorry if you score one of these. I also have the Rivera Sedona, the all-tube, dual channel acoustic amp (that doubles as an electric guitar amp). Previously, I owned a Rivera Chubster 40, which was killer, but sold it to help pay for the Sedona. He builds nothing but tube amps at his Sun Valley, California production facility. Riveras are built to last. I had a chance to visit with Paul Sr., Junior, and Rich (customer service rep) about 16 months ago just after they moved into their new digs.....really pleasant, laid-back folks.

Personally, I'd go for the Clubster 45 or Clubster 25 Doce, which are at or near your spending limit. Enjoy your search. Best regards.....Kabookie
