Thanks Pete! I think that the inside of the guitar must be cleanest as it's possible

Hi benben,
very clean work! Why is the chamfer on the side where the back or top attaches? I would guess it should be on the other side of the lining? That way you would maximize glue surface? |

I want to follow the line created by the kerfings and have an uniformity in terms of sound and vibrations.
As I pull-off some wood of the block, I have a lightweight guitar and the back & top are not flanged by the block

Hi benben,
I understand the chamfer on the heel block, making the glue surface as wide as the kerfing. And preventing the heel block from showing up on the top from the outside when the guitar has settled. I was actually wondering about the chamfer on the kerfing itself. Having it this way makes the glue surface smaller but keeps the kerfing as wide as it is, making it relatively large for its purpose right? Maybe i'm missing something. |

Oh ok I get it, sorry. Hum... you need to ask to people who created these kerfing, maybe to prevent the breakup of the kerfing when you saw it, I don't really know

Thank you very much Pete! Well, I have great models, you know... a guitarmaker from australia, who have a great blog with strings and central back inlays...
