Default Guild D-25. "A Dollar Short"...

Here's another old song of mine, videoed this morning and played on my Guild D-25.

I hope you'll like it. This one's called, "A Dollar Short"...

Nice to meet ya Owen! Great tune, love the lyrics; "no novacaine to numb the pain" & some fine pickin' very well done...I love those old Guild D25's btw. I played one for many years till American Airlines cracked it it's still playable and my oldest son has it.

Enjoyed your song, thank you sharing it!

Thank you, Eric. Much appreciated!

Old Guild guitars are pretty solid things and are able to withstand most things, but the airline companies seem to have found their own special ways to wreak some damage on them.

I hope your son will enjoy the guitar he's got.

Best wishes...

Nice, Owen. I liked it. Has a very nice "folk" feel and well done.
Thanks for sharing it.

Whoa!

That was really good!

You play well and have a great voice--weary and wise and (this also counts) you can carry a tune.

Great job!

That's a beautiful guitar, btw.

You have a really nice voice Jack, and your coordination of guitar playing and vocals is very solid. You are new on AGF, how long have you been playing?

That D-25 looks like it has some stories to tell, love those old Guild guitars.

Hi billder99,

Thanks for your comments.

As you may gather from the very slight hint of silver in my beard, I have seen a few summers come and go, but hopefully, will be seeing a fair few more yet!

I got a guitar back in the late '60s and I've been playing ever since. Unfortunately, to my shame, I never spent enough time actually learning to play it properly, just used it to accompany my singing.

I continue to be dazzled daily by great guitar playing here on this forum and on the internet generally. Hope to pick up a few tricks and tips along the way.

Best wishes...
