Many thanks Josh. If there ever will be another guitar it will be a De Jong with alpine spruce and maple. I think Sergei will do some serious magic with maple.

Thanks Pickard. Yes, this is both a couch and stage guitar really. It has also a K&K pure mini and I run it with a Miniflex. Sounds great live!

Thanks very much. The birds choir came on a short notice. Some of the birds were a bit out of tune but I think all in one they did well .

Amazing, wonderful, outside-the-box playing. Not only do you have a really splendid guitar, you've got an extraordinary amount of talent for playing it.
More posts please!
Thank you so much Steve. I much enjoy reading your story on your website. You know there are two guitars of the ones I have had the fortune to play that made the most lasting impression on me...one was the R&R (Rudi and Roman) OM, you can hear it in the link below. This was a collaboration between Rudi Bults at the Fellowship of Acoustics in Holland and Roman Zajíček from Rosewood guitars in Czech republic:

and the other one is this de Jong. Good guitars do make you play better and inspire to take different directions. But I am one of those guitar monogamy guys. One steel string, one nylon, one baritone and one travel...then you are set .

Out of curiosity, what tuning are you using?

Thank you very much all. Yes, the out of the box playing...I feel my whole life is mostly been out of the box . The tuning is DADGAD.

Sergei's shop is less than a 2-hour drive from my home. The guitar had a long journey to its final destination!

Hope you enjoy this wonderful guitar for years to come.
Thank you David and Mao. Mao, you are a heck of a player and you gotta be the luckiest guy among all these wonderful Canadian luthiers. Hope you both continue to inspire with your works. //cheers

Wow - Amazing guitar and playing Farhad!
I had a chance to play this exact guitar at TFOA and it sounded fabulous.
May you enjoy it very very long!
Greetings from Holland.

Farhad,
I cannot thank you enough for posting this amazing clip of your playing!! Wow, to me this is why we build for players like you! Certainly one of the most beautiful DADGAD pieces out there. You have showcased Sergei's work for sure but you have also blessed us with your world class playing ability. I could listen for hours. Have you an album out there? Love it

Yes indeed....brilliant and the birds loved your playing as well. Can you describe your recording setup and what you did mixing/mastering? Such a rich full sound.
